1. Cook the Noodles
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Boil a large pot of salted water.
- Add lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
- Drain and set aside.
2. Make the Creamy Cheese Sauce
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the softened cream cheese and cook until smooth, about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and both types of pepper.
- Gradually whisk in the hot milk until fully combined and smooth.
- Add the minced Swiss cheese and stir until melted and thickened, about 5–10 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
3. Layer the Lasagna
- Spread ¾ cup of the cheese sauce over the base of a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Place ⅓ of the noodles on top.
- Add half the chicken and half the ham.
- Spoon over 1 cup of the cheese sauce.
- Repeat the layers once more: noodles, remaining chicken and ham, another cup of sauce.
- Finish with the last layer of noodles, the rest of the sauce, shredded Swiss, and a topping of breadcrumbs.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning to finish.
4. Bake and Serve
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, or until bubbly.
- Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden and crisp.
