👨‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the Noodles

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Boil a large pot of salted water.
  • Add lasagna noodles and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
  • Drain and set aside.

2. Make the Creamy Cheese Sauce

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Stir in the softened cream cheese and cook until smooth, about 5 minutes.
  • Season with salt and both types of pepper.
  • Gradually whisk in the hot milk until fully combined and smooth.
  • Add the minced Swiss cheese and stir until melted and thickened, about 5–10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.

3. Layer the Lasagna

  • Spread ¾ cup of the cheese sauce over the base of a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  • Place ⅓ of the noodles on top.
  • Add half the chicken and half the ham.
  • Spoon over 1 cup of the cheese sauce.
  • Repeat the layers once more: noodles, remaining chicken and ham, another cup of sauce.
  • Finish with the last layer of noodles, the rest of the sauce, shredded Swiss, and a topping of breadcrumbs.
  • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning to finish.

4. Bake and Serve

  • Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, or until bubbly.
  • Uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden and crisp.
  • Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
